The challenge
P.M.H Pharmacy and its clinic network handled medicine delivery, pathology, doctor consultations, and emergency care but every request arrived through a different channel: phone calls, WhatsApp, and walk-ins, with no shared history and no self-service option for patients.
Key pain points:
- Staff manually reconciled medicine orders, pathology tests, and appointment fees across separate spreadsheets
- Patients had no way to register, track orders, upload prescriptions, or view invoices without calling the store
- Doctor schedules and availability lived in informal notes, not a structured calendar
- Branding, emergency helplines, insurance partners, and payment QR codes were updated manually with no central CMS
- No secure API existed to power a future mobile app or third-party integrations
The business needed a role-based admin panel and a production-ready REST API without rebuilding operations from scratch.
Our approach
- Mapped every patient journey registration, medicine, pathology, appointments, and emergency into a single data model before writing a line of code
- Designed a unified customer data model with Bearer-token API auth and a separate admin auth layer
- Built modular Laravel controllers and REST endpoints so the web admin and mobile app share one backend
- Delivered the React Native app with bottom-tab navigation, pull-to-refresh, and offline-safe token storage via AsyncStorage
- Phased releases core admin dashboard first, then customer API, then emergency list and site settings
- Documented the full API in Postman so the client team could test and integrate independently

Admin operations hub
Staff manage customers, medicine orders, pathology bookings, doctor profiles, weekly schedules, and emergency contacts from a single web panel. A live dashboard surfaces total customers, revenue trends, top-performing doctors, and booking status breakdowns at a glance.
End-to-end order and booking workflows
Every medicine order and pathology booking supports line items, quantity tracking, and a full status lifecycle — pending → confirmed → billed → paid — with admin notes and invoice upload. Appointments follow the same disciplined flow.
Doctor and schedule management
Administrators create doctor categories, onboard doctors with photos and profiles, define weekly availability, and toggle scheduling — data that flows directly to the authenticated doctor listing API.
Patient mobile app (React Native)
Patients register, log in, upload prescription photos from camera or gallery, book pathology tests, schedule doctor appointments, and access emergency helplines all in one app with a unified order history, QR-based payments, and digital invoice viewing.
Configurable site settings CMS
A built-in CMS controls site name, logos, banners, insurance partner images, helpline numbers, and payment QR codes cached for fast API responses and updatable without a developer or app release.
